MORRISVILLE TOWN CENTER
We’ve talked about a new Morrisville Town Center for years, and now it is time for action. As Mayor, I am fulfilling a campaign promise to move this important project forward.
I continue to advocate for a balanced approach to our new Town Center. Restaurants, shops and amenities are essential for a vibrant Town Center and a thriving, sustainable downtown. A thoughtful mix of housing is needed for new residents who will support these businesses. Through our collaborative partnership with Wake County, Morrisville has recently opened the newest, most technologically advanced, library in the county. I will continue to lead the efforts to make sure our Town Center is designed to benefit from this community destination with open green space, vibrant restaurants, retail and a community center, where residents can meet their neighbors, attend events, or watch a movie.
Our town center will be a significant public amenity that benefits and can be enjoyed by everyone — current residents, newcomers and visitors.
